What are nootropics?

Certain natural compounds, sometimes referred to as nootropics, contain specific nutrients and micronutrients that benefit cognition by acting on the systems and cellular processes, vital for maintaining brain health and function.

The term “nootropic” is still relatively new and not yet a description that many are familiar with, so in this blog we will investigate, nootropics and explain how they can be part of a daily wellness routine.

Do nootropics work?

Yes,

Many compounds that are considered nootropic (i.e beneficial for mental performance) are not new, the most famous being the caffeine in your morning coffee. However, there are many less well-known, natural nootropics e.g Rhodiola Rosea, the Lions Mane mushroom and even specific extracts of blueberry, that are demonstrating profound and significant beneficial effects.

The Natural Cognitive Fuels collection contains a diverse range of nootropic compounds, sourced from all over the globe and standardised for quality.

The collection has been produced to offer unmatched quality for those seeking new ways to power their day, sleep and physical performance.

What are the different types of nootropics?

There are many different types of nootropics available. At Neura, we specialise in natural nootropics built upon a blend of plant antioxidants. These plant-based antioxidants have been proven to drastically improve mental and physical performance, all whilst supporting healthy brain function. In essence, our nootropics contain a fusion of natural antioxidants that help optimise all aspects of cognitive performance. This enables us to embrace every challenge with full confidence and capacity.

Examples of nootropics

Natural nootropics

Natural nootropics, like those we create here at Neura, contain ingredients such as creatine, caffeine, omega-3 fatty acids and a selection of other natural substances. At Neura, our natural nootropics are plant-based, making them suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Natural nootropics are often derived from plants, fruits, and vegetables. While they exist naturally, the specific compounds that provide the nootropic benefits often only exist in very small quantities and must be concentrated or gently extracted in order to make them accessible for human consumption.

Prescription nootropics

Those with diagnosed health conditions such as ADHD are often prescribed medications to help treat their symptoms. These are often considered to be nootropics, too.

Supplements

The likes of rhodiola, ginkgo biloba and citicoline have brain and cognitive-boosting benefits and are therefore considered to be nootropic supplements. These supplements are widely available.

What makes Neura nootropics special?

At Neura, we’re proud to provide a collection of nootropics that harness the power of nature to create vegan-friendly cognitive enhancers that really work. Each and every one of the ingredients we use in our products has been carefully selected due to its proven ability to not only support, but optimise brain function, so that both we and our customers can thrive.
